Long before smartphones and streaming, Betty found joy on four wheels beneath the glow of a disco ball. Her My Legacy project brought that joy back to life, celebrating her lifelong love of roller-skating and the memories made at Haar’s Roller Rink in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania—the place where she met her husband and passed down her passion to her children, Bob and Sally. Her family fondly recalled how crowds would travel just to watch them skate with unmatched grace and flair.
To honor those cherished moments, Betty’s family shared treasured photos and a vintage Haar’s Roller Rink sticker, which was framed and presented to her as a keepsake. The celebration wouldn’t have been complete without a performance of her favorite Johnny Cash song, “I Walk the Line,” sung by impersonator Marcus Ruggiero, adding the perfect musical touch to the tribute.
It was a joyful day of memories, music and motion—an unforgettable nod to a woman whose legacy continues to glide forward with style.
