When Ed reflected on his life, three things stood above all else—his late dog Buddy, his growing family and the enduring bond he shared with his wife Joan. Rather than choosing just one, he envisioned a legacy project that brought all of them together in a single, meaningful piece.
With photographs capturing each of these treasured relationships, young artist Taylor Martin created a custom artwork that blended Ed’s “big three” into one heartfelt portrait. The finished piece was matted, framed and presented to Joan in December 2024—a powerful reminder of the love, loyalty and connection Ed held closest to his heart.
